The 20 year old man accused of firing shots during an argument at a party in Garfield has pleaded not guilty.

Gaines allegedly fired three shots from a handgun inside an apartment on West California Street during the early morning hours of November 5th.  Gaines fled the scene and was located in Walla Walla where he was arrested later the same day.  Garfield Town Marshal Joe Handley reportedly found three bullet holes in the ceiling of the apartment along with 9mm shell casings.  Security camera footage allegedly shows Gaines pointing the gun at a crowd of people at the party.
