Idler Fire On Moscow Mountain Fully Contained

The Idler Fire on Moscow Mountain is fully contained. The blaze torched 116 acres and destroyed a home.  It likely started Monday afternoon by an electrical issue with a battery charger hooked to a boat in a shop on Idler’s Rest Road.

This Summer was the second hottest on record in Pullman. The National Weather Service reports that the average temperature in Pullman this Summer was just under 69 degrees.  The hottest Summer on record in Pullman was in 1922. The agency compiled the data since the meteorological Summer has ended.
