37 Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Whitman County Over Last 4 Days-Pullman Cases Numbers Down Significantly Over Last 2 Weeks

37 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Whitman County since Christmas Eve.

Whitman County Public Health reports that most of the new patients are over 40 years old with 8 over 80.  There are 9 coronavirus patients from Whitman County in the hospital.  That’s one more hospitalization than was reported on Thursday.

There have been 189 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Whitman County during the past 2 weeks.  That’s up slightly from the prior two-week reporting period released a week ago.

New cases in Pullman are down significantly.  There were 103 cases confirmed in Pullman during the last 2 weeks down from 131 from the prior report.  Colfax is experiencing an increase in cases with 40 over the last 2 weeks compared to 14 from last week’s report.  Tekoa and LaCrosse each had 11 new cases during that time with all other Whitman County communities having either single-digit new case numbers or none at all.

Whitman County’s coronavirus activity level remains just inside the high range at 377 per 100,000 people.

There have been 2,745 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Whitman County since the start of the pandemic.  22 people have died from coronavirus in Whitman County since the pandemic began.
