65th Annual Washington Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program In Pullman Saturday

The 65th Annual Washington Distinguished Young Women scholarship program is in Pullman on Saturday.

Eleven young ladies from around the state will compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships.  The high school seniors will be judged on talent, fitness, self-expression, and scholastic achievement.

The local participants are Olivia Ng of Colfax, Rachel Becker of Colton-Uniontown, Kendra Lentz of Garfield-Palouse and Brenna Komp of Pullman.  Those young ladies won their local programs to advance to the state competition.

Saturday’s Washington Distinguished Young Women scholarship program starts 4:00 in the Jones Theatre at Daggy Hall at Washington State University.  Tickets are 20 dollars at the door.

The winner advances to the national program in Mobile Alabama.
