Second candidate for a Pullman City Council seat announces campaign

Over a month away from candidate filing and the Pullman City Council races are already starting to attract campaign announcements.  Brandon Chapman announced his candidacy Wednesday for the Ward 3 seat held by Jeff Hawbaker.  Chapman has served on the city’s board of adjustment for a year and a half and works as the communications and marketing director for Washington State University’s College of Education.  He is also an active member of Pullman Kiwanis and is the president of the Pullman Youth Baseball Association.  Chapman says he wants to promote increased citizen engagement with city hall.  Ward 3 primarily covers Pioneer Hill and the WSU campus.  Candidate filing for the 3 Pullman City Council seats up for election this year starts in mid May.  On Tuesday Councilman Al Sorensen announced he is running for re-election.
