About 2,000 customers of Avista Utilities and Inland Power are without power this morning as high winds are hitting the Palouse.
Avista has about 1,500 customers without power in Steptoe, Endicott and St. John. Crews hope to have the lights back on early this afternoon. About 500 Inland customers are without power in Northwestern Whitman County.
There is a Wind Advisory on the Palouse until 1:00 this afternoon as gusts could hit 50 MPH.
