Palouse Habitat for Humanity is opening applications for its 2027 homeownership program.
The organization plans to build homes in Uniontown and Pullman next year.
The program is available to individuals and families who demonstrate a need for housing, can make affordable mortgage payments and are willing to help build their home.
Future homeowners are required to complete between 200 and 400 hours of “sweat equity,” depending on the number of adults in the household. Participants work alongside community volunteers and subcontractors to help build homes.
Applications open Tuesday, Sept. 1.
