Veterans Affairs Presentation in Palouse

A Veterans Affairs presentation will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the Palouse Library.  A VA trained and accredited advocate for veterans will be available to assist in obtaining benefits.

Suds with a Scholar in Moscow

The Latah County Historical Society will hold Suds with a Scholar on Thursday at the 1912 Center in Moscow.  Local historian Priscilla Wegars will speak about a little-known aspect of Moscow’s history: its red-light district.  Doors open at 6pm, program begins at 6:30.  Tickets are available at the door for $8 for LCHS members, $10 for non-members.  Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Teens Try It – Taste Test at the Moscow Public Library

The Moscow Public Library will host a “Teens Try It – Taste Test” event on Friday at 2:30pm at the library.  Teens are invited to come try a fun variety of foods.

Community Band of the Palouse Free Concert in Pullman

The Community Band of the Palouse will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a free concert on Friday at 7pm at Pullman High School.  The band was founded in 1974, so we’re proud to be celebrating 50 years!

The Community Band of the Palouse is celebrating 50 years of making music in Pullman, Moscow, and surrounding communities! Help us celebrate with an evening filled with music, memories, and fun. The concert will feature favorites such as Holst’s Second Suite in F, a tribute to Louis Armstrong, William Tell Overture, classic marches, and more. Plus stick around for a short reception following the concert. Hope to see you there!

Spring Craft Sale in Princeton

A Spring Craft Sale will be held on Saturday from 9am-3pm at the Palouse River Community Center in Princeton.  There will be lots of craft vendors, breakfast of biscuits and gravy, and lunch of enchiladas and soup will be available for purchase.  Admission is free.

St. John Hog Jog 5K in St. John

The St. John Hog Jog 5K will be held on Saturday at 9am at the St. John City Park.  Registration will be available from 7:30-8:45 at the park, there is no cost but donations will be accepted.

Drug Take Back Event in Colfax

We are excited to announce the upcoming Drug Take Back Event on April 27th from 10-2pm at the Colfax Public Library.  The event is organized by SUPER Colfax, Colfax Police Department and Whitman County Department of Health.  Bring in your unused, expired or unneeded medications to be disposed of safely. Pick up free locking medication storage boxes while supplies last. Whitman County Department of Health will be on site with sharps containers, and other vital health information. Pet medications taken as well. Vape devices disposed of with batteries removed. We encourage all community members to take advantage of this opportunity to safely dispose of any unused medications you may have.  Again Drug Take Back Event on April 27th from 10-2 at the Colfax Public Library.

Vintage Quilt Show in Pullman

The Pullman Depot Heritage Center will host a Vintage Quilt Show on Saturday from 10am-4pm at the Depot located at 330 N. Grand Avenue.  In addition to the quilts, there will be crocheted doilies, handmade lace, and embroidered pillowcases.  The Appaloosa Lace Guild from Moscow will also be demonstrating bobbin lace making.

Whitman County Humane Society Fundraiser at Merry Cellars

A fundraiser for the Whitman County Humane Society will be held on Saturday from 12-4pm at Merry Cellars in Pullman.  There will be a silent auction, and a percentage of each glass and bottle of wine sold during the event will be donated to WCHS.  Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany their owners on their dog-friendly patio.
