City Of Pullman Launches Webpage To Explain Rezone Process In Light Of Port’s Controversial Plan To Develop A Biodiesel Plant In The City

The City of Pullman has launched a new webpage to help the public understand the rezoning process.

The move comes as the Port of Whitman County has applied for a rezone to develop a biodiesel plant near the Whispering Hills subdivision.  The plan has drawn strong opposition from many Pullman residents who don’t want a biodiesel plant located near the neighborhood.  Over 7.000 people have signed an online petition opposing the plan.

Pullman City Council will ultimately decide on the rezone request.  The city’s new webpage explains the rezone process and public comment opportunities that are involved.  You can find the page here https://www.pullman-wa.gov/government/departments/community_development/planning/rezone
