Correction: Record 51 New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Latah County Tuesday-No Deaths

Pullman Radio News incorrectly reported Tuesday’s coronavirus case numbers for Latah County missing the record that was set for most new cases reported in one day.

51 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Latah County Tuesday.  The previous record for new coronavirus cases reported in one day for Latah County was 33 on Friday which broke the record of 31 from the day before.  There have been 127 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Latah County since Thursday.

This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in Latah County to 458 since the pandemic began.  Latah County now has the most confirmed coronavirus cases among the 5 counties that make up the North Central District of Idaho Public Health.  Nez Perce County, which includes Lewiston, had the most confirmed cases in the region since the start of the pandemic until Tuesday.

No one has died from coronavirus in Latah County.

Pullman Radio News staff mistakenly used the wrong data from the North Central District of Idaho Public Health’s online coronavirus dashboard.  That initial incorrect story posted online mistakenly reported 14 new cases in latah County for Tuesday.
