Emergency Food and Shelter Funds Awarded to Local Nonprofits

United Way of Whitman County has announced that emergency food and shelter funds have been made available to local nonprofits.

The funds have been determined from two grant phases totaling over $40,000 to reimburse local nonprofits for costs incurred to provide food and shelter in Whitman County.

Over the two phases, Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse was awarded $6,000, The Council on Aging and Human Services in Colfax was awarded $26,231, and the Pullman Community Council on aging was awarded $7,398.
