The U.S. Department of Transportation has allocated a 6 million dollar grant for continued improvements at the Pullman Moscow Regional Airport. The money will be used to construct a new taxiway for the airport’s new runway which opened last Fall. Airport Executive Director Tony Bean says the funding was allocated earlier than expected which will keep the taxiway project on schedule. Crews will be constructing the new taxiway over the next two summers. That project will cost about 33 million dollars. The taxiway work will not force the shutdown of the airport.
