The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport has received nearly a million dollars in federal funding to design a new terminal.
The money from the Federal Aviation Administration will help pay for the preliminary conceptual design of the new terminal which is already underway.
The new terminal is expected to cost between 35 and 50 million dollars. The airport has already received 18 million dollars in federal coronavirus relief money for the project. Another 23 million dollars in FAA funding has been earmarked for the new terminal.
The new Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport terminal will be constructed West of the current terminal building. Officials hope to break ground on the new terminal next year and have it open by late 2022 or early in 2023.
