Feds Cancel Tuesday’s Lewiston Public Comment Meeting Regarding Four Lower Snake River Dams

The federal government has cancelled Tuesday’s public comment meeting regarding the Four Lower Snake River Dams and moved public input to phone-in meetings.

The feds are taking public comment on their draft environmental impact statement which keeps the dams in place while continuing salmon recovery efforts.  They had a meeting set for Tuesday in Lewiston to accept public comment.

The agencies will now be providing 6 phone-in opportunities to allow the public to submit comments.  Participants will be able to hear each other’s testimony.  Details on the phone-in sessions have not been announced.
