Idaho Fish & Game Low Flying Helicopter Surveys Starting Soon

Idaho Fish and Game will be conducting work from low-flying helicopters this winter.

The agency will be using helicopters to survey and capture big game in the Clearwater region.  Crews will be capturing elk and moose on the Palouse zone starting later this week.  Fish and game staff will place radio transmitters on the animals to determine movement patterns and survival rates.  Choppers will also be used to survey mule deer and elk herds on the Palouse zone next month.
