Idaho Fish and Game is asking for the public’s help with an investigation into a bull moose that was killed and left to waste near Elk River.
Conservation officers say the moose was killed the evening of Sept. 14 or early Sept. 15 near the Elmberry Creek and Gold Creek area east of Elk River. A small amount of meat and the moose’s head were removed, while the majority of the meat was left to waste.
Anyone with information can contact the Idaho Fish and Game Clearwater Regional Office at 208-799-5010 or the Citizens Against Poaching Hotline at 1-800-632-5999. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to a citation for a wildlife crime.
