The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow is opening its fourth annual Silent Film Festival Wednesday night.
Thirteen musicians from the Washington Idaho Symphony will perform a new live score during a screening of the 1928 silent film “The Crowd.” The musicians, primarily from Washington State University and the University of Idaho, will perform Oregon composer Isabella Morrill’s new score continuously while the film plays.
The festival continues Sept. 9 with Charlie Chaplin’s “The Immigrant,” featuring a new score composed by WSU student Tristan Donaldson.
Both performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Kenworthy in downtown Moscow.
Tickets are $12 for students and $20 for the general public.
