Local Economic Development Organization Palouse Knowledge Corridor Hires Its First CEO

The Palouse Knowledge Corridor is hoping to ramp up its economic development efforts with the hiring of its first staff member.

The local organization has hired a chief executive officer.  According to a Wednesday post on the Washington State University website, Richard French took over the post on November 1st.

French is the first dedicated staffer to lead the Palouse Knowledge Corridor.  The organization began 14 years ago.  The group receives equal support from WSU and the University of Idaho to encourage local economic development.  The organization utilizes the research enterprises at the local institutions to attract, retain and develop both talent and business.

French has been working as CEO of Federal Engineers and Construction which is an organization focused on environmental remediation and nuclear construction across the Department of Energy Complex.  He previously worked as a project manager at Lockheed Martin Services.
