Longtime Lincoln Middle School Principal in Pullman Cameron Grow is shifting positions to lead Franklin Elementary.
The move was announced on Friday by Pullman Schools Superintendent Dr. Bob Maxwell. The school district has been trying to hire a new principal at Franklin. In late March two finalists for the job were announced and took part in local community forums. Maxwell says the district did not receive a sufficient pool of highly qualified applicants for the post. That led to the decision to move Grow to the elementary school on Pioneer Hill. LMS Assistant Principal Tammy Sewell will be promoted to the principal’s job to replace Grow. Pullman Schools will begin the search for a new LMS assistant principal. The moves will take effect for the start of school this fall.
The Franklin Job opened in February when Elizabeth Pavlik resigned as principal after just a couple of months in the post. Pavlik came to Pullman from Minnesota.
