Mayor Lambert Hosting Poverty on the Palouse Forum

Moscow Mayor Bill Lambert is hosting a Poverty on the Palouse Forum tomorrow evening at Moscow City Hall, starting at 5:30 P.M. The City will be facilitating the discussion and all community members are invited to attend.

In December of 2017, a group of local citizens representing faith communities visited with the Mayor to discuss concerns regarding increased food insecurity needs in the community.  The issue of food insecurity was earlier identified during the last Poverty on the Palouse forum in 2014. Mayor Lambert is reinvigorating the Poverty on the Palouse Forum approach to address this still ongoing pressing issue. This initial meeting will consist of information sharing and brainstorming to allow the group to share and learn about opportunities and challenges of addressing food insecurity. The forum will be on Thursday, February 1, at 5:30 p.m. at Moscow City Hall. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.  For more information the Forum and its history, please visit http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/181/Poverty-on-the-Palouse
