Moscow man faces felony for allegedly causing crash that severely injured a Potlatch teen

The 21 year old Moscow man accused of causing a May crash that severely injured a Potlatch teenager has been charged with a felony.  Jonathon Woolverton has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence in Latah County Second District Court.  Idaho State Police say Woolverton was driving drunk in a pickup when he allegedly crossed the centerline on US Highway 95 North of Moscow hitting a sedan head on.  The driver of the sedan 19 year old Aarohn Beyer suffered severe injuries and was flown to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.  Woolverton was also hurt and was treated at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow.  The crash occurred on the evening of May 11th and shut down the highway over Steakhouse Hill for over an hour.  Felony aggravated DUI in Idaho involves a crash caused by an alleged drunk driver that causes a serious injury.  Woolverton is scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday.
