Moscow Mayor Bettge to Appoint Captain Dahlinger as Next Chief of Police

Moscow Mayor Bettge has announced he intends to propose the appointment of Moscow Police Department Captain Anthony Dahlinger as the next City of Moscow Chief of Police.

Mayor Bettge will make the appointment at the upcoming April 1st City Council meeting. The appointment will become effective on May 1st following Chief Fry’s retirement on April 30th.

Captain Dahlinger has been with the Moscow Police Department for over 12 years and has nearly 17 years of experience in law enforcement.

Captain Dahlinger is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Crime and Justice Studies, holds numerous certifications, has attended a number of FBI leadership institute sessions, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
