Moscow Police are investigating a violent confrontation that occurred during Saturday’s protest against the city’s pandemic orders.
Video from the event posted on YouTube shows a maskless man and a masked man apparently arguing. The masked man tosses coffee on the maskless man who then punches the coffee thrower several times.
Moscow Police Chief James Fry says his officers are investigating the incident. Police are reviewing video evidence and will be interviewing witnesses. Officers interviewed the combatants on Saturday. Chief Fry says they hope to wrap up the investigation by the end of the week.
Police are also investigating a report that a family was spit on and pushed during Friday’s “Psalm Sing” outside Moscow City Hall hosted by Christ Church.
