This past week, the Moscow Police Department has taken several scam reports. Callers claim to be government agencies threatening legal action, while others are posing as legitimate businesses and contacting employees threatening to share false information if they don’t pay.
MPD asks individuals to look closely at email domains, not click on links from unknown senders, and not purchase gift cards or send money in order to avoid likely consequences. People can report scams to MPD’s non-emergency line 208-882-COPS (2677).
