A new operator is taking over management of Boyer Park & Marina below Lower Granite Dam on the Snake River South of Colfax.
The Port of Whitman County Commissioners signed a new lease agreement with Lakeside Companies out of Coeur d’Alene to run the recreation site. Boyer will remain a KOA campground. Lakeside officials say they plan to invest in park improvements.
This is the 6th operator for the port at Boyer Park since 1999. The last management company was Seven K’s Enterprises out of Oregon. They agreed to a 20 year lease with the port in 2018 to manage Boyer which was the longest contract ever signed for site. Seven K’s turned Boyer into a KOA. That deal came after Boyer was closed for several months when the prior management team decided not to renew their lease in 2017.
