No one hurt when crane collapses at WSU

No one was hurt when a construction crane collapsed at Washington State University Monday morning.

Workers on site say the crane came down about 6:30.  WSU Spokesman Phil Weiler confirms that no one was hurt.  The Pullman Fire Department and WSU Police weren’t notified of the collapse.

The crane came down at the Plant Sciences Building Number 5 construction site across Stadium Way from Martin Stadium.

Class at WSU starts on Monday the 19th.  Students moved into campus housing over the weekend.

This marks the second construction accident at WSU in the last 3 weeks.  In late July a construction worker was injured in a fall at the Global Animal Health Phase II job site.
