Volunteer Firefighters in North Whitman County quickly contained a small timber fire in steep terrain on Wednesday evening.
Whitman County Fire District 1 Volunteers out of Tekoa were initially called to the blaze. Volunteers from District 7 out of Rosalia were called in to assist.
