The Whitman Recovery Community Center is hosting an overdose awareness vigil in Pullman Monday evening.
The “Remembering Together” event is being held in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day and will include a community memorial wall and candlelight vigil honoring people who have died from overdoses.
Attendees are invited to bring a photo, name or written memory of someone they would like to honor and add it to the memorial wall.
Organizers say the vigil is intended to provide a place for remembrance, community support and hope for people in recovery.
The event runs from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Whitman Recovery Community Center, 226 E. Main St. in Pullman.
The vigil is free and open to the public.
