The Palouse Conservation District will present a talk on “Nature-Based Fire Mitigation Strategies for the Palouse” on Thursday, January 8, at 6:00 pm via Zoom.
Gavin Doree from Rainier Seeds will explore how natural systems can play a critical role in fire prevention, mitigation, and defensive planning. The presentation will highlight how native grasses and seed blends can be strategically incorporated to strengthen fire resilience.
Participants will learn practical approaches to integrating nature-based solutions into fire mitigation strategies, applicable for homeowners, small-acreage farms, or commercial operations.
