Palouse Habitat For Humanity invites the public to join them in honoring the contributions of former President Jimmy Carter and remembering his life of service after he died on Sunday, December 29, at the age of 100 at his home in Georgia.
President Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, served as Habitat For Humanity’s most famous volunteers over the 35 years they worked with the organization.
Palouse Habitat is inviting the public to honor President Carter’s legacy by signing a memorial door at the Palouse Habitat ReStore at 304 N. Main St. in Moscow. Starting Tuesday, January 7, and running through the end of the month, community members can sign their names and leave personal messages in honor of the former President. The door will serve as the permanent Palouse Habitat conference room door.
In addition to the memorial door, the public is also invited to visit Habitat.org to sign the official online memory book for Former President Carter.
