The Port of Whitman County has received a two million dollar low interest state loan to construct a brewery in Pullman for Hunga Dunga out of Moscow.
The loan is from Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board which approved the financing on Thursday. The new brewery will be constructed in the port’s Pullman Industrial Park. The 12,000 square foot facility will include a brewery, taproom and a commercial kitchen. Hunga Dunga will continue to operate at its original location in Moscow. State officials say the project will create 43 jobs. Hunga Dunga is spending a half a million dollars on the facility and is responsible for paying for the tenant improvements.
The project will expand Hunga Dunga’s production and help its new partnership with Pullman founded Paddock Spirits Company to increase their canned cocktails. The Moscow based brewery also plans to start a Washington based distribution company.
