Pullman City Councilman One Of 4 Applicants Up For Open Seat On Port Of Whitman County Board Of Commissioners

A Pullman City Councilman is one of 4 applicants being considered to fill the open Port of Whitman County Commissioner seat.  The Port Commissioners will appoint a new member Thursday to fill the seat left open by the retirement of John Love.

Pullman City Councilman Nathan Weller is applying for the elected position.  Charles Petras, Karl Webber, and James Babb will also be considered for the appointment.  All four will be interviewed by the 2 current Port Commissioners during their virtual meeting Thursday morning at 10:00.

There has been a double elected official in Whitman County in recent years.  Whitman County Commissioner Dean Kinzer previously served on the Pullman School Board while holding the county post.
