Pullman Couple Under Investigation For Allegedly Stealing Thousands Of Dollars In Commercial Grade Equipment From The Lumberyard

A Pullman couple is under investigation for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in commercial grade kitchen equipment from the Lumberyard.

Pullman Police briefly arrested 39-year-old Adrian Gayles and his wife 36-year-old Crystal Gayles late last week.  Officers say they obtained probable cause to take the couple into custody for 1st degree felony theft.  The Gayles were taken to the Pullman Police Station while officers executed 4 search warrants on properties in town.  Police say they recovered items they believe the couple stole from the Lumberyard in late August.  The Gayles were released from custody following the execution of the search warrants.  Detectives are still investigating the case.

Police say the Gayles alleged theft isn’t connected to the current or previous management of the Lumberyard.  The establishment re-opened last week under new management.  It was closed in March of last year under the previous owner.
