A Pullman man has been arrested for allegedly abducting and stabbing a woman just North of town.
The domestic violence case occurred early Saturday morning around 2:30 when the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, Pullman Police and Washington State University Police responded to a report of a stabbing and kidnapping near the intersection of Kitzmiller and Whelan Roads.
Witnesses who happened upon the scene called 911 when they watched a female escape from a vehicle and jump into their car while pleading for help. The driver of the SUV that the victim escaped from then rammed the witness’s vehicle at a high rate of speed. 35-year-old Jose Chagollan-Flores of Pullman then got out of the SUV and pulled the woman from the car and stabbed her several times.
When authorities arrived Chagollan-Flores was still on scene and was taken into custody. The woman was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital where she was treated for the stab wounds which are considered non-life threatening. Chagollan-Flores was arrested on felonies for kidnapping and domestic violence assault. Deputies describe Chagollan-Flores as an estranged domestic partner of the victim.
