The Pullman Police Department has received its first armored vehicle.
The department recently obtained a surplus MRAP from the U.S. military. The armored vehicle called an Urban Rescue Vehicle will be primarily used by the Whitman County SWAT Team. It will be stationed in Pullman. The URV will be the primary vehicle to be deployed during any situation in Pullman that might involve gunfire. The armored vehicle is also available to nearby law enforcement agencies. The Pullman PD got the MRAP for free.
