Pullman School District Switches to Google Meets for Live Learning Experience after Multiple Cases of Zoom Bombings

The Pullman School District is discontinuing all live learning experiences through Zoom and will switch to Google Meets starting Tuesday, September 8th. Recorded learning experiences may continue through Zoom. The decision comes after a string of Zoom Bombing events that plagued the school’s network last week.

During one session, an inappropriate video was shown by the malicious user for a few seconds before the teacher cut the live feed. Separate attempts of inappropriate comments were made loudly to the entire class.

Emails have been sent out to the affected classes and parents of those students, notifying them of the incident. Pullman Police Department and the School’s Instructional Technology Department have been notified and are investigating the instances to keep your child safe.
