The soon to be constructed Kamiak Elementary School in Pullman needs a mascot. The Pullman School District is now asking for recommendations from students, staff and community members in recommending a mascot. General guidelines include making sure the mascot has a connection in terms of biology, geology or history to the school’s location. The mascot must not conflict with other school’s mascots. Additionally it is preferred that the mascot follow the same pattern of alliteration at the other Pullman schools: Jefferson Jaguars, Franklin Foxes, Sunnyside Superstars. Pullman schools hopes this mascot may also be applicable as a learning and teaching opportunity for its students. Nomination forms can be found on the district website and must be submitted by April 6th.
