The iconic Cougar Country restaurant in Pullman is opening a new location at Washington State University.
The Cougar Country on campus will be inside the Compton Union Building. Owner Mike Wagoner operated Zoe Underground on campus until 2014. He bought Cougar Country on North Grand Avenue 2 years ago.
The restaurant at WSU will offer its signature burgers, fries and shakes along with espresso, smoothies and select breakfast items from Wagoner’s Zoe Coffee & Kitchen. The menu is still being finalized.
The Cougar Country at WSU is expected to open next month when the Fall semester begins. It will be located on the East end of the ground floor across from Coug Prints Plus. Work on the space is underway and employees will be hired and trained over the next few weeks.
