The results are in from Idaho’s mail-in absentee primary election.
Former local state representative and gubernatorial candidate Paulette Jordan won the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate. Jordan will face Republican Senator Jim Risch this Fall.
Moscow Democrat Staniela Nikolova lost her party’s nomination for the local congressional seat to Rudy Soto. Soto will face Republican Congressman Russ Fulcher this Fall. Fulcher defeated Republican challenger Nicholas Jones in the primary.
Brandon Mitchell won the Republican primary for the local open Idaho state house seat. Mitchell defeated Hari Heath with 62% of the vote to face Democrat Dulce Kersting-Lark in November for the seat being vacated by Republican Dr. Bill Goesling.
The Whitepine School District levy in Deary passed with 62% of the vote.
