SEL opens center in the Middle East

The Palouse’s largest private company recently opened a facility in the Middle East.  Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories based in Pullman announced Tuesday that they hosted a grand opening on Thursday for their Regional Integration Center in Saudi Arabia.  Over 60 people attended the ceremony in Dammam including representatives from the Saudi Electricity Company and National Grid Saudi Arabia.  The SEL team in the Middle East will design and build up to 1,200 comprehensive panel systems annually for protection, control and automation of electric power.  The new center will accommodate all phases of panel design, construction and testing.  SEL’s Regional Integration Center in Saudi Arabia will provide support for their customers in the Middle East.  Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories based in Pullman designs and manufactures digital relays and control systems for the power industry worldwide.
