Construction continues on Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories’ new electronic device manufacturing facility in South Moscow.
According to SEL’s Facebook page, crews are making progress with concrete work on the Schwartz Campus, including foundations and floor slabs. The project will use approximately 10,250 cubic yards of concrete for footings, walls, slabs and wall panels.
Crews are also preparing forms and materials for the facility’s tilt-up concrete wall panels, which will make the structure increasingly visible at the site.
Work on the $50 million facility began in February and is scheduled to be completed in about a year.
The new plant is expected to employ about 1,000 people when it is fully operational.
