Several Highway Safety Improvements Planned For US95 In Latah County

Several safety improvement highway construction projects for U.S. Highway 95 in Latah County are scheduled to take place for the rest of the decade.  The Idaho Transportation Department Board recently approved its 2023-2029 Investment Program which details plans for highway projects around the state.

The agency plans to add a Northbound passing lane on US95 just North of the Potlatch “Y” in 2025.  Another plan calls for adding a Southbound passing lane to US95 in the same area between Freeze and Beplate Roads in 2026.  ITD also plans to add left turn lanes on US95 at Rodeo Drive and Estes Road at the North end of Moscow in 2028.  Plans also include straightening the highway and extending the passing lanes on Crooks Hill North of Viola in 2029.
