Spokane man allegedly responsible for last month’s Rosalia car chase pleads out

The 20 year old Spokane man accused of leading a Washington State Patrol Trooper on a dangerous car chase in North Whitman County has pleaded guilty.  Dakota Scharff pleaded guilty during his initial arraignment Friday in Whitman County Superior Court.  In exchange for the plea to felony eluding prosecutors dropped a cocaine possession count.  Scharff was sentenced to just over a year in prison.  He was arrested last month after leading the Trooper on a pursuit in and around Rosalia at speeds of up to 85 miles an hour.
