State Grant Awarded To Assist With Water Emergency In Harvard

The water and sewer district in Harvard has been allocated a state grant to help with its water crisis.

The Idaho State Department of Environmental Quality has awarded a 27,000 dollar grant to the Hoodoo Water and Sewer District.  The money will be used for well analysis, water hauling and pay for Idaho Rural Water Association emergency support.

The Latah County Commissioners declared an emergency for the district this Summer when Harvard’s only well couldn’t produce enough water for the community.
