Strong Spring Chinook Salmon Run Allows For More Fishing In Idaho

A strong run of spring chinook salmon is allowing the fishing season to be expanded in Idaho.

The run has shown up nearly double the preseason forecast.  The Idaho Fish and Game Commission voted on Thursday to allow fishing seven days a week for most of the Clearwater River Basin.  Springer fishing on the North Fork of the Clearwater is not changing and is only open four days a week.
