Three sewer plants in Whitman County have received Outstanding Performance Awards from the Washington State Department of Ecology.
The Colfax, Endicott and LaCrosse wastewater treatment plants were recognized for their performance in 2025. Ecology says operators at the facilities met water quality permit limits along with routine monitoring and reporting requirements.
The three Whitman County facilities are among 125 wastewater treatment plants across Washington receiving the annual recognition.
