Tuesday night will mark the end of an era for the City of Pullman.
The city council meeting will be the last for longtime Mayor Glenn Johnson who is retiring from city hall. Johnson was first elected mayor in 2003 and took over the post in January of 2004. He served five terms making Johnson the longest serving mayor in Pullman’s history. Johnson was never challenged by an opponent.
Tuesday night’s Pullman City Council meeting will include a recognition of Johnsons’ service as mayor. The meeting starts at 7:00 inside city hall.
Councilman Francis Benjamin won a three way race for Pullman Mayor and will take over the post next month.
