The University of Idaho has received nearly $11 million in funding from the National Institute of Health to support continued modeling for biomedical research. The funding comes as phase 2 of 3 for The Center of Biomedical Research Excellence Grant received by the college back in 2015.
During phase 1 funds purchased new equipment, and financed projects studying disease severity and transmission rates in hosts infected with multiple pathogens.
Phase 2 funds will continue to strengthen the collaborative biomedical research in many projects related to cancer. New projects will be added throughout this five-year grant.
