UI faculty member to address Australian Fire implications

Three University of Idaho faculty members and a fire-safety expert from Avista will speak about Australia’s deadly brushfires and their significance for wildfire prevention in the U.S.

The program will start at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 23rd in the Whitewater Room of the Idaho Student Union Building.

Two associate professors at the U of I conducted research last year in Australia. Tom Ptak, one of the associate professors and a native of Australia, will moderate the discussion.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
