The University of Idaho is working on plans to publicly launch a half a billion-dollar fundraiser campaign this Fall.
The UI Faculty Senate is receiving a report about the campaign during its meeting this afternoon. Documents to the senate shows that the administration hopes to publicly launch the 500 million dollar campaign next month. The UI has already raised 259 million dollars during a silent phase of fundraising.
The campaign working group says the effort will raise money for students, faculty, programs, facilities and research that serve as the University of Idaho’s “foundation for excellence.”
The initial public phase of the campaign to launch next month will focus on donations for student scholarships.
